Successful Season
Banagher had their most successful season to date and can be credited to the discipline instilled into and displayed by the players  themselves. Banagher reached their first County Final after defeating Bellaghy in the semi-final by a goal. Lavey and Dungiven had already been accounted for in earlier games. Unfortunately on the day the occassion got to the players and it was Ballinderry who lifted the John Mc Laughlin Cup.

The Reserves retained the Reserve League title.

Primary School League Cup Winners
St. Canice's Primary School Fincarn won the 1974 League Cup. The team were: Damian O'Neill, Martin Mc Closkey, Liam Mc Grellis, Kevin Lynch, Mickey Mc Closkey, James Moran, Brian Mc Cullagh, Murrough Mc Elhinney, Fergal O'Neill, and Barry Toland.
