ALL STAR AWARD
Banagher Senior player Gerry Mc Elhinney was recognised for his skills as a Gaelic footballer when he was awarded an All Star in Dublin in 1975.

County Football Trio
Gerry Mc Elhinney joined Fintan Mc Closkey and Mickey Lynch on the Derry Senior Football team.

Hurling Captain
Banagher man Seamus Stevenson, while still playing hurling for Dungiven as Banagher had no hurling Club at that time,captained Derry to an Ulster Hurling Championship title.

North Derry Schoolboys League Winners
Managed by Mickey Forester  the Schoolboys team had some notable victories on their way to winning the League in 1975.      Click on Club Photos tab on left hand side to view photograph.


Primary School League Cup Winners
St. Mary's Primary School Altinure won the Primary Schools' League in 1975. 




WHISTLE BLOWER
As a requirement of the County Board Clubs had to provide an official referee and Johnny Mc Williams took on this role. He was always available to call upon and gave freely of his time.



Sad Event
The Club was stunned by the tragic and untimely death of the Senior team manager Eddie Forester.
